45th World Day of Prayer for Vocations (WDPV)

On the Fourth Sunday of Easter (Good Shepherd Sunday), the Church across the world celebrates World Day of Prayer for Vocations.  On this day, the Church is called to pray for those who are serving in the vocations to Priesthood and Religious Life, and for those whom God is calling to those vocations today.  World Day of Prayer for Vocations was initiated by Pope Paul VI in 1963. 

In 2008, World Day of Prayer for Vocations falls on Sunday 13 April.
