National Vocations Awarness Week

Every August, the Church in Australia celebrates “National Vocations Awareness
Week” NVAW on the two Sundays either side of the Feast of Blessed Mary MacKillop
(8 August).
In the Archdiocese of Brisbane, our focus for each week is:
> 2 August - The Baptismal call to holiness as the basis of every vocation
> 9 August - Vocations to Priesthood and Religious Life
This is an opportunity for us to reflect on the variety of ways through which people
live their Christian vocation in today‘s world, and in particular to pray for more
vocations to Priesthood and Religious Life.
